Cleaning Complete!
All clear, y’all can open your windows again as the cleaners finished a day early! Have you ever seen such a clean building!? Thanks to everyone for putting up with no AC and open windows for the past 2 days!

Wasps!
The cleaning disturbed a wasp nest in 19726. I obtained a 2 pack of wasp poison and used one to get the nest back to the point where the cleaners could finish. The spray is designed to be used at night when they are all sleeping in the nest, so I will return this evening to dump the other can into the nest to resolve that issue. In the meantime, watch yourself around the nest pictured below!

Storage Area Update
ServPro has equipment in place (hence the cables, do please be careful!) which is dehumidifying the space. They are legally required to test for asbestos before moving forward but as that substance was banned some 11 years prior to the construction of these units, this is not a concern. They anticipate having samples back from the lab by the end of the day today, and hope to have a scope of work sent over soon after that.
!!If you have stuff you care about in the basement, it needs to not be there!! When ServPro moves in on this job, everything will be discarded as hazardous waste. Speaking frankly… you probably don’t want anything down there coming into your house. If you cant boil or bleach it… toss it.
Duct Wrapping Update
We have 3 units wrapped up, 4 units to go! Status tracked on the In Progress page. Thus far, there has been 0 sign of water intrusion in the attics that have been addressed. We are keeping pics on file of every attic for future engineering assessments.
