  • Current Condition: The roof of building 19730 has shown signs of deterioration, leading to water intrusion in unit 202.
  • Immediate Action: Roofers are scheduled to tarp the building tomorrow. The primary goal is to stabilize the situation throughout the rainy season, deferring a full roof replacement to a drier period.
  • Plan B: Should tarping not provide a sufficient solution, we’ll have to expedite the replacement.
  • Quotes: We’ve obtained one quote for the roof replacement and are awaiting two additional quotes for comparison. The preliminary cost estimate stands at $30,000.
  • Budget: Efforts are underway to allocate funds for this in the 2024 budget. Updates on this situation will be shared as developments occur.

Basement Storage Area

  • Status: The basement storage area remains dry and now boasts both power and lighting features.
  • Upgrades: We have introduced enhanced ventilation, using bidirectional fans for optimal air circulation.
  • Improvements: We’re in the process of gathering three quotes to insulate and sheetrock the area, aiming to make it suitable for general use.
  • Access Reminder: The storage area remains off-limits for general use until the above improvements are completed.
