Ratify Prior Meeting Minutes – VOTE

We need to ratify our minutes from the May board meeting.

Fire Alarm Inspection – June 3rd

From 8am – 6pm on June 3rd, we will be undergoing our annual fire alarm inspection as required by law. All unit access is required. We have confirmation from all but 2 unit owners at this point that they will either be at home or will be providing a key to Quinn. If you have not responded to the increasingly un-subtle messages on your door… please do so! It is a fair bit of work to keep this association running smoothly, please don’t make us chase you down to get responses!

This testing involves setting off the system, so expect noise.

Fire Extinguisher Inspection – June 6th

No unit owner action required on this matter, be aware that a representative from Brimstone Fire Safety Management will be onsite to inspect all our fire extinguishers located in the stairwells.

As a reminder to all of you that fire extinguishers work best if the powder in them has not sat stationary for ~20 years before being deployed. It is best practice every 6 months to rotate the extinguisher upwards and downwards gently multiple times until you can feel the powder sliding around. It should feel like playing with a plastic bottle half filled with fine sand. This could save your life one day, seriously… take care of your extinguishers!

Sprinkler System – Activated, maintenance needed.

Our sprinkler system is activated for the season. 2 of the zones are damaged and have been disabled at this time to avoid flooding. We are currently pursuing quotes to rectify this. If you notice a head has blown off and is causing a geyser, please contact Kerri or a board member immediately. That kind of damage has direct impacts on our yearly expenses.
